As announced September 8, 2022, Mathieu Perreault is taking on a role with TVA Sports following his retirement from the NHL, joining a list of former NHLers involved with the show hosted by Stephane Gonzalez.

Having most recently played for the Montréal Canadiens (2021/22), Perreault totalled 353 points in 708 career games. He also played for the Winnipeg Jets (2014-2021), Anaheim Ducks (2013/14), and Washington Capitals (2009-2013).

Perreault saw minor-league success early in his career, playing a key role in the Hershey Bear’s Calder Cup championship runs in 2009 and 2010. He was the QMJHL’s MVP in 2006/07 as a member of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, tallying 119 points in 67 games; he scored 93 goals and 285 points in 194 career games in the QMJHL.

Perreault’s last NHL goal and assist came in his final NHL game, a 10-2 statement win over the Florida Panthers.

In 51 NHL playoff appearances, Perreault totalled 16 points and 36 penalty minutes.
